Description: An egyptian funerary mask for covering the head of a mummy, once the process of mummification had been completed. Carried out by the technique of cartonnagein which multiple layers of linen were bonded with pitch, then the stucco was applied to smooth the surface and apply the pigments. The mask presents a blue tripartite wig fastened by a wide reddish ribbon decorated with geometric motifs. Within this wig, the face is framed with shiny gold leafs and the ears protruding from the sides. The thin blue eyebrows are placed above two large almond-shaped eyes.
