Crackles are under the glaze of this large longquan ware bowl, its shape and size suggests that it was used for brush washing during the Qing Dynasty. The design is reminiscent of Song Dynasty crackles, and was likely made in imitation to the earlier style. Size: 12 x 21.5 x 15.5 cm. Acquired by an American collector from the 1970s, thence by descent.
