1940a€?s Six (6) U.S. Military Payment Certificates, Series 461 and 472; a Military Payment Certificates or MPC, were a form of currency used to pay U.S. military personnel in various foreign countries; they were used from a few months after the end of World War II until the end of the Vietnam War; Series 461 was the first modern set of military payment certificates issued by the United States (September 1946), while Series 472 was first issued in March 1948; the One Dollar ($1) note from Series 461 is exquisite, three certificates from Series 472 have a light fold in the center (10 Cents, 25 Cents, One Dollar)
