Qianlong mark and possibly of the period, China. The charger with shallow rounded sides and an openwork rim, it is finished with meandering vines and blossoms all done on a turquoise glazed ground. The underside with matching design and stands on a slightly splayed foot with rose colored leaf accents ending at a smooth foot rim. Qianlong seal in iron red. The underside bears numerous labels. One marked "3/1967...S Marchant Chien Lung 18th Century", another marked "Nathan Bentz Collectors Chinese Art", and is also accompanied with a paper receipt from the London San Knight Antique Gallery Museum, dated 1970.
