A carved stone frieze fragment depicting a figure sitting on a ledge wearing boots, a tunic and a short cape, holding a wineskin(?) or bag in his left hand and a staff in his right; mounted on a custom-made stand. 2 kg, 23cm including stand (9"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection.
