Each fan is painted to the paper fan leaf with a figural scene, the figures each with ivory faces and applique silk clothes. The reverse of one is decorated with a harbour scene, two with a bird amongst flowers, and one with further faces. The group comprises black-lacquered sticks decorated with gilt figures, and one with bone guardsticks carved with figures. Please note: this lot contains ivory and is therefore subject to the relevant trade restrictions in correspondence with CITES regulations. Customers should familiarize themselves with the relevant CITES regulations before bidding. More information can be obtained through the saleroom. Condition: All fans with variious damages, wear and tears to the paper, some of which have been repaired with tape or glue. The figures also with various losses and restuck.
