The fan has a landscape with an inscription and 1 seal on 1 side and a scholar seated beneath a pine tree with an inscription, signature, and 1 seal on the other. The other fan cover is embroidered with swastikas and flowers in a geometric matrix, and its fan's outer slats are carved with archaic characters. The fan is a calligraphy on gold-flecked paper with a signature and 1 seal on 1 side and a painting of a fisherman in a boat by a waterfall with a poem and 1 seal on silk. Dimensions are: the largest fan measures 11 1/2 inches tall X 17 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both fan covers are torn at the bottom. The fan cover with scholar's items has significant wear and some areas of loose threads and loss. The fan with the calligraphy and the painting on silk has 1 broken slat, and the paper of the calligraphy is worn along the creases with some breakage and 1 area of loss.
