Louis XVI Gilt-Bronze Mounted Kingwood Meuble Hauteur D'Appui, French, circa 1880, after Andre Charles Boulle by Joseph-Emmanuel Zwiener, Fl. 1875-1900. Born in Germany in 1849 and moved to Paris around 1880. Zwiener produced the very finest bronze mounted furniture and received a gold medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle. Unlike Francoise Linke, Zwiener did not sign all his work. Cabinets with similar bronze mounts have sold at Sotheby's and Christie's. H: 60" W: 59.5" D: 19.75"
