DESCRIPTION: Pair of marble planters featuring carved, gilded wood accents along the rim, extending to a spherical body featuring three hand painted scenes. One scene features a rendering of two women and an infant, enjoying a picnic, finished with a mountainous landscape backdrop. The second is a rendering of the same figures, drawing water from a well in a village. The last is a rendering of possibly Jesus and two other figures in a garden, playing instruments. Finished with carved, gilded wood mythical visages flanking the renderings.CIRCA: 19th-Early 20th Ct.ORIGIN: UnknownPROVENANCE: Purchased from the estate of Barbra Streisand by the consignor.DIMENSIONS:H:23" L:17"CONDITION: Age appropriate wear in form of cracked marble and chips.
