DESCRIPTION: A pair of antique Meiji period, lacquered sideboard tables. Composed of a wooden foundation with ebonized lacquered base hues. Embellished throughout with thick gilded lacquered depictions of foliage, prunus blossoms, birds soaring, and rolling hill landscapes. The bodies are designed with sliding door panels along the top as well as hinged doors along the bases. Finished with dore bronze hardware and hinges, garnished with engraved floral detailing.
