A Late 19th Century Austrian Porcelain Cabinet Plate. Having an elaborate cobalt blue and fired gold rim with white enamel accents with a scene of Venus with Cupid removing a thorn from her foot hand painted at the well. Signed faintly at the well. The plate is adhered to the frame, thus no markings are apparent but most likely is Royal Vienna. The plate is mounted within the frame; some wear to the gold rim, with remnants of adhered paper to the under rim. Plate diameter is 9 1/2", 16 1/2" x 16 1/2" overall. ESTIMATE $300-500
