A Japanese Satsuma Bowl. Richly decorated rice bowl features moriage decoration of a dragon about the exterior with "Thousand Faces" motif at the interior which is further enhanced by another moriage style dragon. Painted marking at the underside, late Meiji period (1868-1912). Includes a separate black carved wood stand. Some wear/minor flakes to the decoration, one small area of the rim may have been repainted/repaired. 4 3/4" diameter, 2" high. ESTIMATE $200-300
