The rounded, spade-shaped bottle is raised on a minimalistic flat foot and has a deeply waisted neck. This is a rare type of bottle within the group of plain white jades, because it poses a significant challenge to the carver to create a thin yet heavy bottle in such balanced manner that it safely stands upright.
