The body decorated in typical Transitional style with Wang Xizhi with his attendant holding a goose seated in a fenced bamboo grove amongst rocks, the other side with a scholar playing the qin under trees. The shoulder is decorated with a flower spray, and the neck with a stylised tulip spray. The handle and spout are decorated with a flower vine, the spout is supported by a scroll-shaped truss,
Condition: Unable to examine the porcelain below the silver mount
Approximately 1/3 of the mouth rim has been restuck, with associated overpainting.
There is further over painting to the tip of the spout.
There are various small frits as expected.
