The lot comprises a bowl decorated with a bird amongst flowers, the rim with beast heads and floral panels; two chargers decorated with scholars objects including a scroll the centre, the sides decorated with panels enclosing further precious objects; a charger decorated with a goose amongst flowers, the panels enclosing precious objects; and a charger decorated with a grasshopper perched on a rock amongst flowers, the border with precious objects.
The bowl: 6.2 cm. high x 21 cm. diam.
The two scholar?s object chargers: 5 cm. high x 29 cm. diam. and 4.8 cm. high x 28.5 cm. diam.
The goose and flowers charger: 5 cm. high x 28.2 cm. diam.
The grasshopper charger: 4.7 cm. high x 29.5 cm. diam.
Condition: The bowl: there are four cracks to the rim and a section restuck (approx.. 5.5 cm. wide).
The first scholars object charger: there is a fork-shaped crack and a section restuck to the rim (approx. 8.2 cm. wide).
The second: there is an infilled chip to the rim (approx. 1 cm.).
The goose and flower charger: there is a flake chip to the rim (approx. 2 cm. wide).
The grasshopper charger: there is a hairline to the rim (approx.. 5.7 cm. long); small area of glaze flaw to the rim.
All: with chips and frits to the rim.
