The large vessel is affixed with a hinged vertical strap handle and the tapered body is decorated with horizontal brass straps leading up to the semi-circular curved spout. The upper surface is pierced with five holes allowing for the flow of the liquid.
Catalogue notes: teapots, 'dombo', form part of Mongolian traditional tableware used to serve milk tea and can be made from wood, copper, or silver.
Condition: The spout has been dented and repaired, with a fine crack to either side (the larger approx. 0.7 cm.), and a tiny aperture to the centre of the spout.
There are various minor dents and wear consistent with age and use.
There is a '6' impressed to the handle.
Tarnishing to the upper surface.
