Framed Japanese woodblock by Utagawa Kunisada I (1786-1865, aka.Toyokuni III used 1844-1864). The diptych woodblock, c.1820s depicts a male figure on one side of a folding screen holding his samurai sword, while a female / courtesan figure on the other side grasps the sword's scabbard. Measures 14-3/8" x 19.75". Well framed and matted under glass, 22.75" x 29.5".
