Two Chinese blue and white footed porcelain bowls, 19th century Qing Dynasty. Each bowl decorated with underglaze blue enamels depicting figures in a teahouse and figures fishing among a mountainous lake landscape setting. Signed underfoot with the Buddhist Endless Knot Symbol (infinite wisdom of the Buddha), one of the eight Chinese Buddhist symbols. The larger bowl measures 6.5" diameter, 2.5" high. The smaller bowl with scalloped edge measures 5-1/8" diameter, 2" high.CONDITION: no adverse condition issues.PROVENANCE: Ex. collection of General Joseph Warren Stilwell (1883-1946) via his grandson, son of Winifred Stilwell Cox (daughter of General Stilwell).
