A Chinese porcelain iron red dish and bowl, 19th century Qing Dynasty, Tongzhi reign (1862-1874). The dish measuring 6.75" diameter, 1.25" high and the bowl, 4" diameter, 1.75" high are each decorated with iron red enamels depicting pomegranate fruits, with bats surrounding the Shou symbol for longevity. The interior of the bowl decorated with famille rose enamels. Both signed underfoot with the Buddhist "Lotus" symbol.CONDITION: no adverse condition issues.PROVENANCE: Ex. collection of General Joseph Warren Stilwell (1883-1946) via his grandson, son of Winifred Stilwell Cox (daughter of General Stilwell).
