A tall French silver urn vase. Embossed and chased motif. The two "handled" sides depict the face of Bacchus / Dionysus the god of wine with long trailing bull horns. Long swag garlands of grapes, vines and leaves decorate the opposing sides and sit above the acanthus leaves. An entwined series of circles adorn the neck, beaded rim. The base stamped with the Weevil mark for 800 silver purity. Maker's hallmark having a swan between the letters J & K. Measures 14" high, 6.5" wide, 5" deep. Weighs 1091.46 grams.
