Debra Franses Bean (b.1967) The Emoji Bag Coloured painted and solid transparent resin, in the form of a three dimensional handbag encasing numerous fabricated colourful Emoji ideograms and smileys, 56 cm. x 40 cm. x 16 cm., weight 15kg._x005F_x000D_ DFB: I was inspired by the visual global phenomenon of the Emoji as a communication to identify with our emotions in a non-verbal, international digital language._x005F_x000D_ These icons of communication, used by both adults and children, add humour to our lives._x005F_x000D_ Hand painted balls of coloured resin sit inside, some reflecting the viewer through small mirrors and so bringing the outside inside and the inside out. This bag makes me so happy every time I look at it, it has been part of my private collection since 2015.
