Description: Kano Naonobu, (1607-1650), was a seventh-generation member of the Kan?? family of Japanese artists. He served as painter to the third Tokugawa shogun, Iemitsu, and founded the Kobikich?? branch of the Kano family. He was known for subtle and refined style which is clearly shown in this Suibuku ink scroll on paper of a heron and the moon.
