The power eminating from this compelling Shiva image characterises Koh Ker style. As is typical with this style the Shiva has a soft face and is adorned with elaborate earrings. His tiara or mukuta is also richly decorated. A tradition that continued to develop in Cambodia from the 10th century to the post-Angkor period. The Shiva is mounted on wood (later).
