Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Stein #675. The stein has its original metal top with high relief maple leaf sculpture at the top and what appears to be a sculptured pine cone on the top in front of the thumb press. The thumb press and metal rim are in excellent condition. The thumb press has a shell like design. The underside is impressed with the Roman Numeral 2, capital C 3, or may be 03, and the number 675. In black it is marked Villeroy & Boch Mettlach. Please click photos to enlarge and see markings on the underside. The stein is shaped like a barrel and looks like a barrel with bands going around it. Height to the top of the thumb press is 6 inches. From the front of the barrel to the back of the handle it measures 5-3/4 inches. The diameter at the top when cover is open, 3-1/4 inches.
