Depicting three clans vying for power with representatives seated along three tables each laid with antique treasures, a fearsome warrior standing in the foreground holding a bronze vessel high above his head, six character Chenghua mark to base, 46.5cm diameter.

The present lot is of an Imperial type, large figurative scenes were collected by the Chinese Imperial Palace. The Palace Museum collection holds one piece with a closely related scene, also with apocryphal Chenghua mark and just 5cm larger than the present dish. This is reproduced in Compendium of Cultural Relics in the Palace Museum Collection: Wucai and Doucai, 1999, page 107, no 97.
