A set of twelve Chinese sancai glazed figures of warriors, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the biscuit and partially glazed warriors modelled as foot soldiers wearing armoured tunics, partly enamelled in green and ochre on canted square bases, two holding circular shields, two holding beaters, five holding spears, one holding a bow, one holding a sword, the last holding a pair uli form throwing clubs, their unglazed detachable heads modelled with plumed helmets, some with traces of red staining, 9?in. (24cm.) high. (12)
