A PAIR OF CHINESE SILVER OBJECTS. Comprising a sculpted silver elephant modeled in full-round, its head turned upwards holding a pod-form vase inset with a jade socket. The body of the elephant repousséd with ornamental ensemble set with semi-precious stones including coral, turquoise, and mother-of-pearl and the head with jade tusks. Overall height 7 inches (18 cm). Together with an interesting vessel with fitted lid and swivel handle. Resting on a slightly flared ring base, the sides repousséd and chased with various animal forms terminating with a ribbed dome-shaped fitted lid with knob finial, and set with swivel handle terminating in dragon heads.
