A Chinese cast, gilt and painted bronze figure of seated Zhen Wu with left and right hands in mudra, his robe open at chest to reveal snake belt, the robe is falling in large pleats revealing his nacked feets. His face with downcast eyes, and the long hair combed backwards. The daoist god seated on a throne with snake and turtle in front, representing the North. Ming 1368–1644. Weight 3945 g. H. 33.5 cm.
