Two Chinese candle holders of the Qianlong period, The pair is characteristically with the sheep effigy on the foot, resting on it four leg, with head facing upward, the horn curved down to the shoulder, each hum carrying tall spherical candle holders. A figure sit on its back, while hand holding a ribbon. Delicately decorated in cloisonne enamel with Lotus and twigs motif. The candlesticks are tall cylinder- shaped, have narrow mouths and long necks. Underneath the neck, they have a round dish and a small flattened spherical belly resting on a double gourd shaped foot with DaJi characters on both bellies, overall a turquoise color tone. The external is decorated with numerous flower sprays. Attach to the candlesticks is also a decorated enamel plaque on each pair. The composition is sophisticated and the colors are a feast for the eyes.
