Chinese Tibetan Ming Dynasty gilt bronze Bodhisattva Buddha figure of seated Avalokiteshvara, Vajradharma. The Figure having the face with serene expression centered by a raised urna and flanked by pendulous earlobes, the ushnisha topped with a knobs. Three pendant hangs across the chest, and armlets are worn on both arms. A silk belt is draped over the figure body, and wraps around both arms. Masculine arms are held chest high, with hands in Dhayana Mudra gesture of absolute balance, meditation. Seated in Dhyasana, crossed legs full lotus position upon double-lotus base. Extensive trace of gilt, with blue pigment on hair.
