Near East, possibly Egypt, Old Kingdom, ca. 3000 BCE. This is a shallow, rounded offering bowl with a nice polish and a honey colored patina. Offering bowls were placed in tombs to provide food for the deceased in the afterlife. Size: 4.5" W x 0.8" H (11.4 cm x 2 cm).
