A Chinese pottery vase, possibly Northern Song, Chizhou Kiln, late 17th/early 18th century, of cylindrical form, slightly everted rim above a shallow shoulder with green/turquoise pooling glaze, the main body with loosely incised decoration of a bird on a rock, a flower with character, all within pressed black ground borders, height 24 cm (see illustration).
