Wanli period (1572-1620) Of barrel shape with lobed sides, small curving spout and square handle, domed cover with pointed knob, decorated in six panels round the body with auspicious objects suspended on tasselled ribbons alternating with peonies, round the shoulder and on the cover a diaper-pattern ground and reserves filled with flower sprays.
