Description: A pair of bronze multi-metal vases with tennin and treasure trees with blooming flowers, inlaid with silver gold shakudo, jade and crystal on a shishiaibori ground. Rosewood boxes inscribed Shiragi Doki-shiki Seido Bin (bronze vase, in the style of Korean archaic vases), and also with the label of the Yamashina Family. Signed Ri-o-koku, Bijutsu-kojo kinsei (Specially made by the Ri Kingdom Art Factory) Ca. 1900 Japan. Provenance: Yamashina Family, one of the important Royal families of the late Edo Period.
