Republic Period or laterThe first a wucai-decorated dragon and phoenix bowl with the two creatures facing a flaming pearl amid flower stalks below a band of Eight Buddhist Treasures on the exterior, the center of the well filled with a dragon and flaming pearl roundel, the recessed base bearing a six-character Daoguang seal mark in underglaze blue (repaired and retouched); the second a famille rose enameled bowl delicately painted with flowering branches and the Eight Buddhist Emblems between pale blue enamel decorative bands on the exterior walls, the recessed base bearing a six-character Guangxu mark in iron red standard script. 5 7/8 and 6in (15 and 15.3cm) diameter
