Footnote: A handwritten label to reverse states "Found by Pierre Trouvee during the French Military expedition to Petra in the Peloponnese". This could be pertaining to the Morea Expedition in the 18th century, when the French military were involved in the liberation of the Greek region of the Peloponnese from the Ottoman Empire.
