A FRENCH REGENCE STYLE CHASED GILT BRONZE NINE-LIGHT CANDELABRUM, MANUFACTURED BY FONDERIA BRONZI ARTISTICI ITALIA, MILAN, CIRCA 1970-1990, based on a design by Andre-Charles Boulle (French 1647-1732), the standard with scallop edge bobèche fitted to urn form nozzle with beaded border pan, the undersides with acanthus and laurel leaf border, over lappet form baldaquin and knopped stem issuing eight further lights with tapering squared section acanthus wrapped and scrolled arms, the base with two handled gadrooned urn over tapering shaped stem, with rosette with laurel swags, the female figures with scrolled leg and acanthus terminal, the whole on oval gadrooned waisted base with projecting shaped blocks filled with scrolled rocaille decoration, raised on four squared and two dome shaped legs, with manufacturer's mark.
