A FIVE PIECE LOUIS XVI STYLE PARCEL GILT POLYCHROME SALON SUITE, NAPOLEON III (1852-1870), consisting of four fauteuils, the oval medallion backs centering beribboned flower bloom sprays, over molded, ribbon twist, and bead carved frames, centering needle point upholstered backs with a motif of flowering baskets surrounded by a ribbon reserve, dotted with sprigs of cherries, above bowed seats, within bowed upholstered arms ending in scrolled, acanthus leaf carved hand terminals, on saber form, molded and acanthus leaf carved supports, to floret blocks, all raised on ring turned, tapered, fluted legs, ending in French toes, fronted by a ribbon twist carved chair rail; the whole decorated in creme and gilt paint, and covered in Aubusson style needlepoint upholstery, height: 36 3/4", width: 23 3/4", depth: 20"; the settee done in the same manner, height: 37 3/4", width: 49 1/2", depth: 22".
