A SèVRES STYLE PARCEL GILT AND POLYCHROME PAINTED BLEU CELESTE GROUND COVERED VASE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, of vasiform with sides centering a shaped reserve enclosing a shepherdess and her companion bagpipe musician seated in a bucolic setting, signed "Poitevin." within a border of gilt floral clusters and conforming berried foliate stems trim reversing to a similarly shaped reserve with rural buildings beneath shade trees and a meandering stream in the distance, flanked by scrolling foliate molded handles centering a waisted neck beneath a bound reeded rim and surmounted by a conforming domed lid with gadrooned details enclosing tapering flowering vine above berried laurel trim, raised on an acanthus detailed socle and canted rectangular plinth.
