A PAIR OF RENAISSANCE REVIVAL GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE EWERS, FRENCH, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, each of oviform and sides centering shallow relief bands of deities from classical mythology at various pursuits, surmounted by a helmet shaped spout with gadrooned trim above stylized Medusa masks opposite a caryatid cast loop handle, raised on a circular black Belgian and red griotte marble pedestal enclosing a reticulated band of stylized rinceaux, on a rectangular plinth and scrolling foliate feet.
