Height: 61" Width: 5 1/2" Provenance: This Asmat wood paddle is one of a number of purchases made by the Seldens during their 1973 trip to Indonesia and surrounding regions. A handwritten note dated November 23, 1973 by Marjorie Selden includes this paddle and is mentioned again in another letter dated a few days later on November 27, 1973 from the Wentworth Hotel, indicating the paddle was "cut in half to bring home."
