SAMUEL MARX (American 1885-1964) A PAIR OF PATINATED BRONZE ANDIRONS AND A THREE PIECE SET OF FIREPLACE TOOLS, FOR SAMUEL MARX, INC., CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, DESIGNED CIRCA 1947, of square cubed shape with designer's mark to the interior, mounted with hinges on the bottom edge, together with a set of cast iron fireplace tools comprising a poker, shovel, and tongs, each with cylindrical patinated bronze handle, housed in matching black enameled metal frame. NOTE: Due to the physical design of the firebox, this pair of andirons was mounted directly to the brick hearth.
