A LOUIS XV STYLE ROSEWOOD SETTEE, 1840-1870, IN THE ROCOCO REVIVAL TASTE, the triple crests carved with leafy, arched scroll forms, issuing flowering stems, over the molded edges of a central eliptical upholstered back, within two medallion upholstered backs, interspersed by small bouquets, and raised on ruffled, "C" scroll supports, centering an adorsed acanthus leaf support, above a bowed seat, within upholstered inwardly curved arms, ending in scrolled hand terminals, on leafy scroll carved swan neck supports, raised on flower bloom carved knee cabriole legs, ending in scrolled feet, terminating in French toes, joined by a serpentine skirt, carved with flower bloom flourishes, now in gold velvet upholstery, with creme and gold gimp trim.
