Each vase is decorated in mirror image with a scholar, a maiden, and an old lady seated on a rock below pine, probably a scene from the 'Romance of the Western Chamber'. The reverse is inscribed with two lines from poems - one from a poem by Sima Zha. Each base bears an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
Condition: Both vases appear to be in overall good condition.
