An Unusual Mid-18th Century Ivory Fan, with finely pierced monture, the velum leaf mounted à l'Anglaise. The recto depicts both European and oriental scenes and figures, en grisaille, some slight colour to faces. A scene either side of the central European cartouche shows oriental figures outside buildings, a feature of which are windows which feature inlaid panels of mica.
