Description: Crowned Buddha Shakyamuni (or Akshobhya). Old Tibetan or Nepalese bronze statue with remains of fire-gilding. Height 22 cm (8.7”). Weight 1252 g. From private collection. His right hand showing the bhumisparsha mudra, his left hand holding a begging pot (patra). Seated in dhyana-asana on a lotus throne. Wearing a big, multi-leaved crown, a necklace, some earrings and a monastic robe. Bottom covered with copper consecration plate with seal. Signs of age and wear.
