The first of narrow form, incised with intersecting diagonal lines, the second of slender oval form, painted with black and red stripes and with white zig-zag decoration, the first 89cm long (35in long), the second 58cm deep (22 1/2in deep)

Collected by Captain Norman Macalister, who acted as a travelling Magistrate in Australia in late 19th century. Captain Macalister also travelled in the Pacific and died in 1927.
