Has a 4 in. original paper dial signed “Ansonia Clock Co., Patented, Dec. 14th, 1886”, has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, black spade hands, brass spring driven one day movement, signed “Ansonia Clock Co.”, is contained in a engraved silvered tub with pierced crest at the top; raised on 2 arms rising up from cast metal base with pierced filigree design. The bisque figure of a swinging young boy acts as the pendulum bob, hanging from a helical spring connecting to a lever with pin pallets on the escapement which engage the escape wheel as the spring stretches and recoils up and down. Nice overall condition, no breaks or repairs to the case, figure has a minor repair to the right edge of the swing seat, running condition. 14.5 in. high. Weight: 2 lbs.
