Whiting of Saratoga Springs & Baldwinsville, NY. 4 in sub minutes dial rotating in the base with original 9 in. paper dial around the globe having black hour numbers, 10 minute numbers and minute markers, brass 8 day time only spring driven movement with large balance wheel escapement; the time dial is laid on a brass back plate with outer edge which rotates simultaneously as the clock runs. 6 in. terrestrial globe signed "Joslin's 6 inch Terrestrial Globe, Boston, Gilman Joslin, 1860"; in a walnut case with serpentine crest having a turned finial and teardrop finials with gilt highlights. In good overall condition, case has an enhanced finish, globe is in very good condition with one minor loss in the artic circle (on the back of the clock), case has splits in the front door and back pane, missing lower glass, missing 2 teardrop finials (present finials are re-centered), missing trim piece below the top finial and missing brass finials screwing into the north and south poles; running. 28 in. high x 14 in. wide x 5.25 in. deep.
