2 Phonographs In Oak Cases. 1) Edison Gem Phonograph In Oak Case. The oak case has a domed lid with turned handle and wooden base; the iron frame is painted black with the G.E.M. decal on the front, threaded crank arm on the side and fitted with a model “H” reproducer that plays 4 minute cylinder records; the horn is 19.5 in. long x 10.5 in. dia. with original paint and original “Gem” decal and has crane. Phonograph is signed on a metal tag “Manufactured Under The Patents Of Thomas A. Edison” and serial number G176915. Nice condition, case has an enhanced original finish and original “Edison Gem Phonograph” decal on the front; working condition, need a new bet. 9 in. high x 10 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep. 2) Early model disc phonograph. Oak finger jointed case, crank on the right, rear mounted aluminum support arm and tone hold the Victor horn; 7 in. turn table, single spring mechanism. Nice condition, refinished, unsigned, start stop mechanism is sticky but the spring works 16.5 in. high x 9.75 in. wide x 21.5 in. deep. Weight: 24 lbs.
